Ian Robertson, Ltd. Services Offered Contractual Services Master Plans: The center piece of a design portfolio, a master plan combines data collected from a site with input from the clients and design ideas from Ian Robertson, Ltd. to generate an overall design scheme for the property. Part or all of a site's boundaries can be included in the Master Plan. This plan offers a visual overview resulting in a guide which maps out how those designs will enrich your landscape. Designing unique and well-orchestrated outdoor rooms for a Master Plan is a complex process and the cost for this service varies by project. Ian Robertson, Ltd.'s professional design fees usually account for approximately 15% of a project's total budget, although this average is only a guide and not a guaranteed price. For this fee, Master Plans typically include the complete layout of all garden rooms, including major planting configurations and hardscape elements (paving, walls, driveways). Complete plant lists and plant photographs are included, as well as basic grading and drainage recommendations and options for hardscape materials. If needed, perspective sketches of proposed designs can also be provided. Planting Plans: Detailed Planting Plans can be developed either separately from, or in conjunction with, a Master Plan. Unlike general planting configurations that accompany a Master Plan, Detailed Planting Plans are drawn at a scale where individual trees, shrubs and herbaceous perennial groups can be seen and precisely labeled. Qualities such as plant form, texture, fragrance, seasonal interest, soil suitability, and zone hardiness are carefully considered as planting plans take shape. Accompanying each Detailed Planting Plan is a complete plant list that includes botanical names and common names of each plant, quantities and recommended sizes and spacing at planting time, and special comments as necessary. This list allows either the homeowner or an independent contractor to accurately install the planting plan as designed by Ian Robertson, Ltd. If a Detailed Planting Plan is developed in conjunction with an ongoing Master Plan for the same property, the cost of this service is normally included in the total price of Ian Robertson, Ltd.'s design fees. If it is developed separately from any other design work, the cost of this service is determined on an hourly basis. From
garden beds to large woodlands, our distinctive blend of horticultural expertise

that expresses your desires and respects the nature of your landscape.
